On January 12, 2010, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti about 15km southwest of the capital, Port-au-Prince, causing unprecidented damage to what is known to be the poorest nation in the western hemisphere.
This project has been put together to help raise support for the earthquake victims through the relief efforts of Médecins Sans Frontières (aka Doctors Without Borders) whose efforts in Haiti has, over the past decade, included establishing an emergency obstetrics hospital, running the only functioning trauma centre in Port-au-Prince, and providing much needed treatment and support for victims of sexual violence.
