PPF House: nice shoes. seriously. we're not being sarcastic about that.
28/04/08: Hello Giants!
It's been a long time since our last update. It's because we've been busy. So busy that this is also going to be a short notice, but rest assured, many projects are in the works including stuff for TV, theatre, continuous Asian touring and prep for new albums and exercise videos (we're doing it straight old school: leotards, leg warmers, head bands and VHS. We were going to go all the way to beta, but it turns out nobody cares about picture quality.)
Anywhoooo: How many of you have wondered to yourselves, late at night, by the fire, holding a loved one in your arms: "I wonder how much testosterone you can fit into a two octave keyboard?" Well ask no more, because tomorrow night (that's Tuesday, April 29, 2008) the MICRONAUTS return to the Tranzac Club in Toronto, performing man-sized hits from the 80s on toddler-sized instruments from where ever the guys could find them. The band features: Ali Berkok on (micro)keys, Mark Laver on (un petit)saxophone, Mike Smith on (fake)bass, and Tim on drums he bought for his 3 year old daughter. Here are the detes:
WHAT: The Micronauts Birthday Bash for Drummers
DATE: Tuesday, April 29, 2008
WHERE: The Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Avenue, Toronto)
TIME: 7PM
Be there because the world is more awesome if you believe in the power of tiny plastic things.
:::
PPF House: Blessed with the optimism of a rookie guidance councilor staring down a champion armpit farter.
18/01/08: Greetings, Robots! 011011000!
Happy 2008 from everyone at PPF House! This year, we are going to elbow smash evil in the face - and it begins... NOW!

So much WPBE you'll need to take it home for leftovers! But no need for microwaves 'cause that stuff is always hot! (zing!)

FLUTTER MEETS PERSEPOLIS
Flutter will be playing in front of Golden Globe nominated film PERSEPOLIS in Montreal at the Cinema du Parc starting January 18 (tonight) for the duration of its run there. This is a great double bill for people who don't like colour!

Howie just remembered that FLUTTER is making its world television premiere Friday night (November 9) at 7:30EST on BRAVO!. It will be part of a special all animation episode of BravoFact! Presents. Tune in!
FLUTTER will also be playing on the big screen on Thursday November 15 at Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Ave) at 6pm as part of the very awesome Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival . Howie will be on hand to elbow smash anybody foolish enough to ask questions.
Following the screening, Howie, John Poon, Sunclef (Matt Hedlin) and Abyss will be at SPIN Gallery on Queen West, fabricating music as accompaniment for the ultra-incroyable PIKA PIKA LIGHTNING DOODLE PROJECT from Japan. Bring anything you have that makes light (mobiles, ipods, uranium) and you can be a part of the movie making experience! This event is also being brought to you by the good folks at Reel Asian. Doors open at at 8:30. Show starts at 9. Love is a battlefield.

3) The Worst Pop Band Ever is at the REX every Wednesday in October at 6:30. The last show was so good that for a moment, an unhappy man traded bodies with a happy man and remembered , for the first time since his childhood, what a half full glass looks like. Meanwhile, the happy man got really depressed.
:::
4) From October 22-28 Flutter and Ice Ages will be playing at NFB theatres across Canada as part of the NFB's World Animation Day celebration, GET ANIMATED!. It's a great program of recent films, as well as workshops and master classes, and a nice opportunity to meet filmmakers and discover animation in all its forms. Howie will be on hand on October 26 at the 7 and 9pm screenings at the NFB Mediatheque in Toronto, so come on by if you feel the need to point and laugh. For more details on the event across Canada, go here.
