In an effort to bring aid to those suffering in Haiti, over 2 dozen like-minded friends in the independent arts community, many based in Toronto, and a few from abroad, have banded together to put together the PPF Neighborhood: a downloadable benefit compilation of music, visual art and photographs.
The project is a third party fundraiser for Médecins Sans Frontières (aka Doctors without Borders) with all proceeds going to assist MSF’s work with the victims of the earthquake. What we hope is that, even if you’ve given already, you’ll feel compelled to donate $5 (or more if you want) to help us make a difference in a tragic situation. In return you will receive 14 tracks of original music and 13 works of visual art and photography, packaged neatly in a pdf booklet.

A who’s who of award winning artists, the project features Juno Award Winners (and losers), U of T Art Professors, Underground Hip Hoppers, Latin Jazzers, Pop and Electronica Darlings, as well as Vanguards of Illustration, Animation and Photography. It’s an eclectic mix of “creative” types who are trying to use what they do best to offer a helping hand.

The PPF House Neighborhood will only be available until Feb.11, 2010, the final day before the Canadian Government closes its pledge to match all private donations.

Happy New Year!
I know we're a couple days late on this, but if you've been checking the calendar you'd know that worldwide we had functions bumpin and were destroying resolutions before they even had a chance to breathe.
Good on us.
2009 was truly a divine year for the House and we owe all of our supporters a huge thank you for allowing us in and helping us grow as a unit. We ended the year with tremendous momentum in 2 album releases, a #1 charting on the CIUT Top 30 and a nomination for Best Rap/Hip-Hop album at the Independent Music Awards, and I'm happy to say, that for this first post of 2010....it continues.

Yes, it's been a minute and we've truly been negligent parents, but we're happy to announce, We baaaaack!
The past fortnight the crew has been inundated with behind the scenes type tasks in order to ensure you have a crazy Christmas and an even more absurd 2010.
First off, Tim and LEO37, though at opposite ends of the world have a crazy amount of shows and parties for the next two months for your listening enjoyment. I suggest you consult the calendar to your right for all the details.
Secondly, the PPF Store is quickly running out of most PPF Apparel as well as many of the debut discs from our artists. Head over there now before it's too late to get your PPF stocking stuffers.
And lastly, you know how during the spring, TV has sweeps and the Discovery Channel usually has Shark week or something to that effect? Well, for the next 8 weeks, PPF House is proud to present to you our own MAG version of the sweeps, beginning with: TUSK WEEK.
Oh and one last thing, big shout out to Cracker for all the new changes to the site. You're the best webmaster ever.

For those of you who weren't at the REEL ASIAN: CANADIAN FILMMAKERS PARTY, you don't actually know what you missed.
**Shakes head disappointingly**
For the first time ever, all 7 members of the House combined their pseudo talents to create one giant Tetsuo looking tumor of a show that somehow managed to appease the spectrum of attendees from 'art housers' to 'hip-hoppers' and every sub-genre/culture in between.
A truly magical evening, I'm not sure any photographic evidence could truly capture the feel of the night, but our dear friend Desiree Butler does a good job of trying.

After 3 years, 2 babies, 2 marriages, a gangload of tours and the occasional pint, the Worst Pop Band Ever officially return home to release their sophomore effort, Dost Thou Believeth in Science? @ The Rex tomorrow night (November 11th, 2009).
Featuring guestspots from heartbreakers Rhonda Stakich and Sophia Perlman, as well as the guarantee of impromptu Hockey style fights throughout the bar, tomorrow's shaping up to be a grand one indeed.

Truly and sincerely, I just came from chillin with the MAG boys and they are having an awful time picking the top 12, let alone the top 2!

As promised, the winner will be announced by MAGNOLIUS in a weeks time, at which point we'll slowly begin to march out the top entries for your viewing pleasure.
